Self Portrait Studies

Through my journeys of experimentation and self-discovery, I decided to re-kindle self-love while experimenting with traditional techniques used by the old masters. I was inspired by the works of Joesph Wright of Derby, using heavy light contrasts and capturing expression. I decided to expand onto my fascination of contrasting light with the human figure to create an original series Self Portrait Studies. This series became a challenge to develop my traditional oil painting skills and a journey of self-love and expression through my femininity.
